dyed my hair chocolate brown four days a go but it came out jet black! 31 weeks pregnant, how can i lighten it a bit without chemicals?

wash it in a shampoo that is not designed for color treated hair, it will pull some of the color off of it

im no hair dresser but i remember coming across this problem once when i wanted pink streaks in my hair.. and apparently there is no other way but perhaps re-dying it a lighter shade of brown, or even an ash blonde. i hope this helps!

You can't. If you wash your hair it will lighten up a little but not enough to make a difference. Same thing happened to make before. I ended up having to pay hundreds to fix it and they still had to use lots of chemicals. When dark hair color is absorbed in the hair, it takes forever to get out. It's almost imposible to change the color of the hair without powerful bleach which will give it an orange color. There is nothing you can really do(i know thats not what you want to hear). Go to a salon and see what they say. It's going to end up costing you min of $100
