Sorry to the person who suggested coconut oil but is smells awful!! The best thing to do for silky hair is to first use a shampoo/conditioner for dried/damaged hair. And before you go to sleep rub almond oil over your scalp, and hair - root to tip. Tie it up, put a shower cap on (or put something on your pillow coz the oil will stain the sheets) and then wash out in the morning with the shampoo and conditioner. Guaranteed you will have silky, soft hair. This is probably the cheapest way to do it. A bottle of almond oil is about $10 (aus dollars) which is cheaper compared to those expensive shampoos or leave in conditioners. You can also try eating more fruits and vegetables and also evening primrose oil tablets are supposed to be very good for healthy hair and nails. I also have dry hair and i have tried everything -even egg yolk but it was really messy and smelly!

try herbal Essenses. They have different products like dry hair and stuff so if you is dry, you just get the dry hair and it will help. my hair is dry too. Herbel Essenses works really really good and it smells good too :-)

Your hair needs good moisture first to be silky. If u use shampoos and conditioners, they will cause damage after a long usage.

Try something with natural product...

Mix an egg with 4 to 5 spoons of castor oil. Apply for 1/2 hr to 45 min n wash. U'll definetly see the diffrence. If u can do this twice a week, U'll gradually see the diffrence.
