She is so stereotyped everyone thinks shes fiery and bad tempered......and they'd be right!!!

People meet me right away and assume I'm a raging maniac with a violent streak. Well that's an exaggeration but people do *react* very strongly to things I say, whereas other people could say such neutral things and no one would care.

You know, I've noticed that!! I mean, just as an example, a group of friends and I were just hanging out, and one girl was compaining about a high tempered, stress-case manager who flies off the handle at the drop of a pin. And my one friend asked "Is she a redhead?" So I think that redhaired people should have somesort of support.

But I'm not quite sure about what kind of special proctection you'd get... I'd hope you'd get some, of course, but some people may just say "Dye your hair" I hope you get the support you deserve!!

I don't know. My 12 year old has the most beautiful long red hair with blondish streaks running through it, and freckles and she has never been made fun of, in fact classmates and teachers comment on how they love her hair.

Yes they usually do find themselves the butt-end of many jokes and name calling . I have Ginger hair since a baby and over the years I had to learn to " roll with the punches " as such or either dye my hair , which never crossed my mind . Most Ginger people have a good sense of humour it comes with the territory , and most nice people like the person and the colour of their hair makes no difference to them . As for those who are really nasty , ignore bad behaviour is the best way to deal with them . . But a special protection order would make matters worst , it would be like getting your Mam or Dad out to fight your battles , that's a...., No No !.
