What are hair extensions?

Ok, so i want hair extensions but i don't quite know how they work L0L. So if someone could help me out i would really appreciate it. What difference is there between synthetic and real hair. What is fusion? And all the other ways and how do they do it. Hmm.. O and how much would it cost to get it done at a SALON. I live in California. Thanx ALOT!

you glue hair on your head at your roots and it makes your hair look longer.

-synthetic is cheaper, you can't dye and isnt real hair.

- real hair is more expensive, you can dye.

- it costs so much more do got it done in a salon.

sally's beauty salon has both for really cheap.

price can vary by alot.

fusion is to get small pieces braded onto your head.

They're basically just "chunks" of hair on a clip.. if that makes sence xD

they just clip in.. and Synthetic hair you can't curl it or straighten it or anything. It's best to get real hair.

you can get clip in ones though that you stick to the root of your hair with like a clip thing they look so good, if the colour is matching and there real hair not like horse hair or something =]

fusion extensions are the easiest to take care of. real hair is better. in cali there should be a ton of salons that do it. call for prices i know here (pa) it starts at 300$

There are different types of extention menthods. I prefer clip on, where you just clip them on, they don't damage your hair like the other kinds that are done at a salon.

THe cost can vary from a few hundred up to thousands of dollars. Sythentic hair means the hair is not real, therefore you cannot do anything like straighten or curl the hair, human hair you can. Synthetic is significantly cheaper because of that. Fusion is where you fuse individual strands to your head, there is also sew in extensions (they do this like a weave) and 'tie' in extensions, as well as glue in.

It is a lot easier and cheaper to just go to a beauty supply store and get clip in extentions. An 18 inch set of human clip ins would cost around 100.00-150.00 They also last longer. If you were to get it done at a salon, the most extensions could last would be 6 months if you were lucky. They are hard to take care of. Though clip-ins can last years. And you don't have to have long hair all the time. :o)
