Why is my hair falling out? =(?

I have long, straight hair and my hair keeps falling out in strands. I dont know what the cause of it is, but I dont know what to do incase Ill end up with no hair left.

Most occasions, it seems to fall out when Ive brushed it and washed it. Once brushed, I find several strands of hair in my hair, I take them out, and then brush again, and they've fell out again.

When I wash my hair, I only run my fingers through it and plenty of hair has fallen out.

My hair used to be extremely thick, and I used to wear it in a ponytail. But until about early last year, I had my hair cut and started wearing it down constantly.

Now my hairs really thin and fine.

I havent changed shampoos or anything.

I dont know what to do.

My hair has become extremely thin. :(

Why is my hair falling out? =(?

It could be stress so don't worry about it...

You should go see a dermatologist who will prescribe some medicine or special shampoo to help you.

It happened to me once. I thought I was going to go bald which really freaked me out since I'm a young woman. I had very long hair and one day I counted how much I lost (because my doctor told me so) and I lost more than 1,000 in one day! (imagine how long that took me to count...my doctor had a good laugh!).

I had to wash my hair everyday with a special shampoo and do some relaxation exercises and watch my diet...It lasted a few months then I stopped losing my hair and now it has all grown back and I recovered the thickness I used to have.

are you taking any supplements or medication lately? that may be the cause of it.

Change of diet? Are you getting enough protein?

Also, if you are doing so, stop sleeping with the smoke detector on your pillow.

As a Hairstylist, this is a common question. Every single day we lose up to 200 hairs a day. Its normal %26amp; its natural!! Its also a fact that every person has over 50,000 hair folicles on their head, so compare that to the average 150 a day to 200 hairs lost. Not so much worries now. Its just a part of the body replenishing itself, most hairs fall out for a new one to grow in! Hope this helps you feel a little better.

I know though, it seems scary. The longer your hair is, the more we seem to notice it falling out... My hairs to my butt here %26amp; it seems like I ALWAYS find it everywhere. But with my husband or sons, I dont find theirs... cuz its shorter %26amp; easier to fit down drains, in a vacuum etc. (You see my point I hope) Just dont worry is all Im really trying to say here!!!

I went through a stage where I began losing hair too. I would run my fingers through my hair and pull out ten or more at a time. My mom went and bought me some of those chewable fruity kid vitamins and my hair just stopped falling out that rapidly after two days and my hair is back to normal now even though I don't take the vitamins on a daily basis anymore. Best of luck!
