Pantene and hair loss?

I found all the other Q %26amp; A's not satisfactory.

Pantene will cause hair loss depending on your hair type. I'm of Asian descent and I have fine to oily hair. Recently (summer time), I been experiencing DRAMATIC hair loss (20+ strands of hair after every time I touch my hair.) I went to the doctors, she did blood tests which included thyroid... ADCE?? (Which is a chemical in men's body causing male pattern baldness.. and etc.. I'm fine but on my way out my dr mentioned it to another dr (who happens to be Indian) and she said her daughter experienced bad hair loss using Pantene. So I've switched to a basic shampoo and eliminated the excess protein caused by Pantene. My hair hasn't fallen like it was. Thank goodness.

In case, here are some things you may do to help your hair if it's thinning:

1. Nioxin Shampoo/ Conditioner--Scalp Therapy: use it to wash and condition. u can only find this at nice drug stores... like ones on 5th ave in NYC.

2. Jalco- K pack 1ce mon. it reconstructs

I heard from a professional that Panteen is so horrible for your hair. It puts a nasty wax coating on the hair shaft. Gross.

yea pantene sucks but they have good styling products though but i woulnt use pantene is somone paide me too... well yea i would lol but i had the kind for women of color and it suckd

I tried using Pantene a few times and I noticed my hair getting

thinner. And I also saw my hair was feeling greasy and I

developed some little tiny pimples in my hairline. I stopped

using it and went to tar shampoos and finally found one I have

to water down so that it's not so strong that it too makes my

hair greasy and the little bumps come back. I've got a Neutr-

gena shampoo I'm going to try next and see if it's any good.

I've used it on our two small dogs and now it's my turn LOL.

I am totally Irish and that stuff made my hair fall out. Other people I know use it and told me I was full of it and it works fine. Glad I am not the ONLY one that had this happen!!!
