have yoy tryed to wash it out get some pert shampoo its so strong that it will strip some of the dye out

depending on the condition of your hair.. and if it was a hair color you bought over the counter... like loreal or something of that nature.. i have redyed my hair directly after seeing the bad results... remember though there should be a 1800 help number on the box and the color consultant can tell you what color to buy to correct the color already there.. you don't want red /orange or god forbid green hair... be careful call the help number

I have dyed mine the next day...lol ....it just didn't come out right..your hair will restore itself eventually just try not to wash it allot so that the natural oils can be restored and your hair can heal.

Depending on your hair colour, if you've gone to dark its hard to get it lighter unless you strip the colour off..

When you dye your hair again, you should only re do the roots anyways.

If you went to a hairdresser, go back and see them.. If it was a DIY one, I would still go and see a hairdresser, cause re doing it again, will dry out your hair as well..

Because you've dyed it dark you're probably best to wait a while for it to fade before trying to dye it again as it may not work. Is it permanent or semi permanent? I use semi-permant on my hair so that is fades back to my natural colour. I would recommend waiting a week if its semi-permanent (wash it a lot so it fades!) but if its permanent you should probably wait at least 2 weeks.

If i were you, i'd wait for about 1 month, because if you over process your hair with chemicals, that could do some major damage!!!!!!

I'd call the # on the box for a more customized answer, depending on the shade, tone, and direction you came from and direction you'd like to go.

This is what they told me:

Get a clarifying shampoo, squirt some in your hand and add baking soda to it until you make a gritty paste. Shampoo your hair ONCE a day like that. After shampooing, apply a nice, thick deep-conditioner... loosely pin/braid/tuck up your hair and put on a shower cap... wrap a towel on your head over that. The conditioner should do you good, staying moist under the cap and warm from your own body heat and the towel holding it in. The conditioner should be helping the oils from the dye to come out. Leave it on for about an hour, or as long as you can. Do it every day. You can dye your hair again in a few days, but try to wait 2 weeks. It'll give more accurate results, with less drama for the next dye job AND your scalp!

The gritty shampoo and deep conditioning over a few days got my hair color to an acceptable shade, so re-dying wasn't necessary.
