Bleaching hair any hair laser experts/ experienced?

i have a problem with facial hair, i used to bleach but it would be too thick and obvious since my skin colour was brown and my hair is black. then i would thread, and it broke out very badly in spots (waxing has same effect) and i am going to laser as hair removal cream makes it return thickly and doesnt remove from the roots. problem is, my hair regrowth is pretty fast, almost weekly. and the laser treatments are monthly. i can only shave and and trim in between ---- but which girl wants to have her face shaven?!?!? the person i was making an appointment with said i could bleach as long as the roots return to black... is there anyway of using some kind of liquid or chemicals to get rid of the bleach and blond hairs on my face before an appointment??? i am not willing to dye the hairs on my face black, wont it make them really obvious and thicker??? and laser works best on black hair. help me please

I had laser on my face as well. I was told never to bleach it during treatment cycles. You really just better of shaving it. Honestly if you shave it every day or every other day no one will ever notice. The more times you get lasered the less hairs will be growing back anyway so it is not like you are going to develop man-stubble in the process. There are only 5 weeks in between each treatment so suck it up and do the shave thing so you don't risk making your laser treatments less effective ( huge waste of money!)

Alright so, I have really long layered hair and recently..for the past few months I've been losing hair like crazy. I know losing a bit is normal but I've half the amount of hair I did four months ago. I had an extremely full head of hair and it's getting thinner and thinner. I don't straighten my hair too often and I avoid hair spray and other products. Any idea why this is happening? I'm only 17 and doubt so much hair loss is normal. Maybe my diet..or amount of sleep I get. Either way do you know any ways of preventing it,,and maybe growing hair faster?

You need to go see a doctor.

I don't want to frighten you, but there are two conditions I can think of that fit this. One is mercury poisoning, the other is a genetic thing. I'm sure there are others, though. See your doctor. This is not something to take lightly.

I have been shaving my hair down there since i was 13 years old. The hair has grown pretty thick due to continual shaving. I'm scared to go to a waxing parlor. It's gotten pretty thick and I'm afraid it would be too painful.

Is there a possible way to wax it without the ouch? Is there any other do-it-yourself way to remove the hair?

first, hair doesn't grow back thicker. it only looks that way because you're shaving off the top of the hair, making the end look blunt, when initially it was tapered and finer-looking. i have hair that is slightly thicker as well, and waxing actually doesn't hurt too bad! plus, ripping it out from the follicle will make them grow back with that tapered end, thus less thick.

you could try a numbing cream. i had laser hair removal a few years ago and had to use a professional-grade numbing cream that was a little expensive, but i lost complete sensation for about an hour and a half or so. it'd definitely come in handy if you're getting waxed down there.

You know it is kind of a catch 22 You can use nair... and that will only last for a couple of days... whereas the waxing gives you a cleaner finish and it last longer on average a week or a little longer... so you know if your concern is the pain then you probably just want to try the nair, you have to let it grow back a while though before you can nair it again... so you know we can never win as ladies... Actually they weren't even grey they were silver!!! Thats even worse!! They'll be harder to hide! I was just wondering if it could be caused by the baby taking everything from my body or is that silly and its just my time?? haha. Nobody in my family had premature hair greying so I find it kinda odd. Maybe stress?

Also..do you think there is any truth to the 'if you pluck one a couple more will grow back?' Cuz I plucked them all..=/

well i am a hair stylist and people will come to me and be like i used to have blonde hair and now its black (which usually medium brown) when you have kids your hair changes. mines used to be curly. i mean walk out of the house wet with some gel locks and now its stick straight, and it went that way while i was pregnant. so yes your hormones could have caused you some grey hair. but shoot girl you earned them!!! i bed for someone to find a grey hair in my hair when i get my hair done cause i feel like ive earned em!!! and no if you pluck them more wont grow, thats an old wives tale. hair turns grey over time, and can even turn grey (lose pigment, actually) overnight. either single strands or large clumps.

I'm a 17 year-old male and I've been trying to grow my hair shoulder length for 2 years. My hair is very thick and curly I usually comb it back. But when it reaches a certain length its very difficult to control and ends up looking a little messy heading in different directions. I believed that its just a phase when growing my type of hair long and that after a while gravity will pull it down making it look better. But my mom insists that my hair will head into a messy afro. She then forces me to go to a Saloon and fix it. When I go to the Saloon the person attending my hair offers to blowdry/straighten my hair which deep down in my heart I want to do. But my mom believes that men who blowdry/straighten their hair are homosexuals this aggravates me. In the end I end up cutting my hair short. If anyone can could they give me advice, on how I could grow my hair long and make it look good? Also can females give me their thoughts of men using products/tools that females use for their hair?

well hair grows at about a 1/2 per month I would use some extra conditioner ( if you don't already) when you wash your hair. Let it sit for about five minutes and rinse it out or go to your local store and pick up some deep conditioning conditioner you can get a little pack for about $.99 at Sally's Beauty Supply follow the directions and your hair should be on its way to becoming healthier, which will make it grow a bit faster in the end. Because hair grows at such a slow rate and sometimes slower for other I recommend getting a trim about every 2-3 months this allows the natural oils to get to ends that may have been brittle and breaking off. when your hair gets long enough to your liking and if it isn't as straight as you would like and you don't want to go through the daily process of using a straightening iron you may want to have your hair chemically straightened. Although it's only a temporary fix it last for a good amount of time. In the end you should have the luscious locks that you dream of.

At 17 you should be able to decide how you want your hair. I am the mom of a 17 year old boy and he has longer hair. After all, it is only hair and depending on what job you have later, you may never be able to wear it long again. Try talking to your mom about your hair %26amp; tell you want to try it longer until summer, then if you don't like it, you will get it cut. My son's hair is sort of curly, so we get it layered on the last few inches to keep it from afro-ing out. He tucks it behind his ears for school and wears a sports headband or rolled up bandana other times to keep it out of his face.

Alright, so a few months ago, I dyed my hair black, I liked it, but I'm CONSTANTLY changing my hair color just because i like the change. So i wanted to keep my black hair, but put some change into it, so I put some funky highlights in it that are kinda like an auburn color.

This was fine until my roots starting coming in *BLONDE roots* Obviously, that's noticable. I don't want to dye over everything and make it all black again, I want to go back to this auburn color I used to have a few months ago.

I don't like using bleach that much, it really frys my hair, and I tried a hair stripper and some of the color came out, but not enough to dye it brown.

If i just put the brown over all of my hair anyways, my roots will be way lighter than the rest of my hair seeing as how they are blonde.

What should I do? I'm open to try other colors as well, if that would make a difference, just not black.

1) you don't have to bleach anything, and shouldn't be, since your natural hair is blonde.

2) all you have to do is dye the roots above your auburn color auburn.

3) have the black roots touched up as well w/ more black.

The latter two should be done by a professional, hopefully by the same person who did it the first time(unless you've been doing this yourself) Either way it's going to be a bit difficult to match everything up correctly, but at least go w/ the same hair color line!

I would touch up just the roots in black or a color similar to yours. You may want to distribute color on the ends towards the end of your processing time. Wait 24 hrs and then pull the hair through a cap with auburn color. You will have highs and lows.

You may want to go to a salon to have them do foils, or all over color (which is cheaper).

Keep in mind I am not an expert. This is just a suggestion. Try at your own risk.

If you're trying to lighten up, you should do it gradually or you WILL fry your hair. I should know, I'm also a natural blonde who is constantly changing my hair color out of sheer boredom, LOL! I started lightening up again like 3 months ago, I was very dark brown with auburn tones, and now I'm a very light brown/dark blonde. Just be careful with your hair, and if all else fails just go to a salon. They can get it done in a day!
