Help? Hair question?? Thanks!?

I am using Body Envy Herbal Essences (for volume) shampoo, but then I am using a blue, smells like coconut and flowers conditioner from Herbal Essences, I forgot what its called. (its for damaged hair and split ends)

Will it work the same? LIke, I use the volume shampoo and a different conditioner. (but both from Herbal Essences).

Also I have straight hair, and I want to straighten my hair so it will be PIN steaight hair. How can I convince my mom? Also will it damage my hair?

Help? Hair question?? Thanks!?

Don't worry about it, the only reason brands tell you to use the matching product is to make sure that you buy their product and not someone else's.

It's actually been proven that your hair benefits more from mixing and matching shampoos and conditioners than using the same ones over and over again.

Help? Hair question?? Thanks!?

if i were you don't spend too much for your hair. try this.

coconut oil or simply coconut extract. cheap but it works.

use beer to have a shiny hair. they say it also works.

Hair Bleaching and Dying?

I have medium brown hair...and i had dyed my hair black sometime ago,

but my brown roots were showing at the top. So i decided to dye it blonde, but first i had to use a hair removal kit, So i bought one at a convince store labeled "L'oreal Hair Removal Kit".

Unfortunatly i forgot about not using on my roots and in the end my roots ended up becoming light blonde D=.

So now I`ve got brown hair with blonde roots!

Is there a way that i can dye my hair all blonde on my own? Im worried about damaging my hair to much.

Hair Bleaching and Dying?

You should let your hair rest for a while, because all this you are doing to it will really dry it out. Take Christina Aguliera for example. She bleached her hair so much now it is starting to fall out. Give it a rest and let it regain some natural moisture. That way when you dye it again, you will not damage your hair as much.

Hair Bleaching and Dying?

every time us ladies use hair products (falt iron, dying, perm, ect.) we damge our hair. even shampooing i think you should let your hair rest before doing anything else with it. but in order to fix your problem you have to bleach it then dye it. hope i helped...have a good day!!!

Hair Bleaching and Dying?

Yeah get BORN BLONDE bleaching kit, and then use a "normal" blonde hair dye to tone, then use a intensive conditioner, a leave in overnight one for first day or so...

Hair Bleaching and Dying?

Color cannot lift color, so you can't just go buy some haircolor and expect to go from brown to blonde. what you CAN do it either go find a color that matches your length and do a "retouch" on your blonde roots to match the rest of your hair. or you can strip the color, do a bleach job (which i wouldnt recommend doing on your own), OR you could try a shampoo cap with a toner. a shampoo cap consists of a mixture of bleach, shampoo and water. you spread it all over your hair and wait for it to lift your color. it isnt.. HEALTHY for you hair, but if youre determined. then once it reaches the level you want, wash it out (DO NOT put it on your roots since theyre already light). then, apply a toner over it. the outcome of the shampoo cap will NOT be an all over beautiful blonde, it will probably be a very uneven color. but its very hard to completely lighted a head of dark hair. in the end, i would suggest going to see a professional- but if you have to do it on your own, those are the ways to do it.

Hair Bleaching and Dying?

i thought u bought a hair removal kit? that should have taken care of the problem!

Hair Bleaching and Dying?

let is reast for a little while longer. then yu can just go to cvs and get a hair dye kit

Hair loss???

DO NOT BE LAZY TO READ THIS IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!

Hi, just to tell you comment back before and after results thank you you can email me the pictures of the before and after results (i will give you my email upon your request) too it will be a great help and if i see anyone copying this blog onto a t.v show they will be paying a big price because first of all i will report you......

The whole recipe is about how to save your hair from damaging and if they are already damaged and thin and if you are losing a lot of hair, this will save your life! Thanks to Me!

and if you guys think henna will dye your hair it wont not the one i am telling you....Henna is a great product and make sure you are not using the henna dye you are using the henna powder which is used on hands it will not dye your hair but it will give you a nice rich beautiful Browinsh color only if you stand in the sun but you wont be able to tell normally!

Henna Mixture for hair only- you need atleat 17 hours to devote to this mixture

- 1 packet~henna powder (make sure it is the powder which is used on hands -not hair dye)

-1 egg

-2 spoons of yogurt

-2 tea bags

-1 1/2 cup of hot water

-Large bowl

-spoon

-2 gloves]

-1 cup of coconut oil (optional if you want to put it on hair)

-a shower cap

First you take the powder and you put it into the bowl. then to make tea you take the tea bags and cook in the hot water and after you pour the water into it mix it well. then take the egg and yogurt and put that into the mixture as well. After that is done mix it completely. do not cover the mixture and set it over night for about minimum 12 hours (Suppose you made the mixture at 6 pm. wake up six in the morning and apply it on). before you go to sleep apply the coconut on your hair and make sure you rub it completely through your scalp. when you wake up apply the mixture starting form the bottom behind of your hair and then make sure the mixture is all over your head and hair and no part is dry (make sure you are wearing gloves) . tie your hair up and put on your shower cap. after that wait 3-5 hours with your henna hair and then take a shower you will end up cleaning your tub because it will be all greenish but you can go to the salon and get your hair washed. when you are washing your hair just used about a pea sized amount of shampoo to clean out the access oil or anything that is left in your hair. you are done......henna can be stinky but it is truly worth the hours and wait! please give me before and after pictures and email me at qtkulsum_sid@yahoo.com %26lt; my email but i am a girl not a boy...

p.s- for once a week use put on coconut oil on your hair once a week, and try to at least put a spoon of yogurt on hair once a week you maintain the healthy look or you can use egg and yogurt together. make sure you put henna on once a month..to maintain the beautiful look...great for male, females......you can put this on children over 8 years old but i am not sure! your welcome! and thank you for your time

Hair loss???

A number of things can cause excessive hair loss. For example, about 3 or 4 months after an illness or a major surgery, you may suddenly lose a large amount of hair. This hair loss is related to the stress of the illness and is temporary.

Hormonal problems may cause hair loss. If your thyroid gland is overactive or underactive, your hair may fall out. This hair loss usually can be helped by treatment thyroid disease. Hair loss may occur if male or female hormones, known as androgens and estrogens, are out of balance. Correcting the hormone imbalance may stop your hair loss.

Many women notice hair loss about 3 months after they've had a baby. This loss is also related to hormones. During pregnancy, high levels of certain hormones cause the body to keep hair that would normally fall out. When the hormones return to pre-pregnancy levels, that hair falls out and the normal cycle of growth and loss starts again.

Some medicines can cause hair loss. This type of hair loss improves when you stop taking the medicine. Medicines that can cause hair loss include blood thinners (also called anticoagulants), medicines used for gout, medicines used in chemotherapy to treat cancer, vitamin A (if too much is taken), birth control pills and antidepressants.

Certain infections can cause hair loss. Fungal infections of the scalp can cause hair loss in children. The infection is easily treated with antifungal medicines.

Finally, hair loss may occur as part of an underlying disease, such as lupus or diabetes. Since hair loss may be an early sign of a disease, it is important to find the cause so that it can be treated.

Need professional hair help plz?..?

okaaayyy first lemme tell you the shampoos/conditioners I've gone through and how it effected my hair-

1st-

Dove-I haven't used doved in along time, But everytime I would use it it would damage my hair. And it caused it to frizz

ALOT.

2nd-

reguler pantene for dry hair. what it did was the same thing dove did, damaged and frizzed.

3rd-

tresseme-did the same.

okay, all of the top ones did me the worst..it would firzz up and dry my hair, and after a day or so my hair would gain its natural oil again. And it would be very managable. Bit I wanted something that could make it managebal forever.

then my first "okay" shampoo/conditioner. Aussie, clense and mend shampoo/conditioner. It controlled my hair a bit, And made it softer...but as my hair grew. It changed. And I needed something differant.

aussie-3 minute treatment thing. I HATED That.. it made my hair loose alot color..it made it really thick. And it didn't make it "look" soft. just feel..

(continues)

Need professional hair help plz?..?

Try Sunsilk to repair hair it has (TLC letters on front of bottle) hair,,, its so good and stop using any hair tools (straighteners, curlers, etc) its only damaging ur hair and get a conditioning system like VO5 and do this treatment once a week and just follow the instructions (they also got these conditioning treatments if ur hair is permed but buy regardless if ur hair is not, u could opt for putting Mayonnaise in ur hair too kinda gross but it leaves ur hair silky and it repairs it, put a lot of mayo under a shower cap depending on the damage of hair leave it for 30mins - 1hr then rinse and shampoo to remove build up)

When ever u take a shower make sure u

-brush hair before wetting ur hair

-wet hair then apply shampoo only to scalp, then rinse

-apply shampoo second time and leave on scalp for 2 mins

-apply conditioner but leave on for 10 mins with a shower cap

Need professional hair help plz?..?

of what ethnicity are you? it could be that you have coarse, not very shiny hair biologically.

smoothing serum can help after you're out of shower. They biolage or a baby shampoo and condition. it may sound funny, but it calms your hair follucules and makes them more moist (it is soft and does good attributes to your hair)

hope it works!

How to make my hair unfrizzy!?

Hi I am an 18 year ol who about 6 years ago has developed dry, frizzy hair! I have tried everything but nothing seems to help "unfrizz" my hair! Its such a pain in the #$$ because it makes it close to impossible to do my hair! Please HELP!

How to make my hair unfrizzy!?

get a conditioning hair treatment and put it in once a week, also use an anti frizz serum every morning.... ask your hair dresser, i'm sure they'd b able 2 help

How to make my hair unfrizzy!?

I would recommend Garnier Fructis "Sleek and Shine", anti-humidity cream. Put it on your hair after you get out of the shower. You can find it in a green tube, almost in any store.

Good hair days....

TJ

How to make my hair unfrizzy!?

DON'T ACCEPT DRY, FRIZZY HAIR. REGAIN THE LUSTRE %26amp; MAKE THEM STRONG FROM THE ROOTS. Use "Segals" Brand of hair care and treatment products, manufactured in Canada. The products have a large clientele among the quality-conscious and upwardly mobile customers in various countries including the USA, Canada, France, Australia and Hong-Kong.

The products are revolutionary and the product range consists of a wide range of Formulations, Shampoos, Conditioners, Supplements, etc all manufactured for a precise and specific application to achieve desired results. The products are a highly concentrated and balanced compound of rare and exotic botanical herbs and other active ingredients including antioxidants. The scalp and hair-formulations have been designed to work from the root %26amp; arrest hairloss and promote hair regrowth, treat thinning, damaged/dry hair, dandruff and psoriasis-like conditions in the scalp. Needless to say, all the products are effectively pH balanced, without side-effects and are GUARANTEED for visible results.

Specific to your problem, it is stated that your hair-cell metabolism seems to have been disturbed due to various factors. Good nutrition is important to have thick, full, luxurious hair with bounce, shine and proper texture. To ensure good quality hair growth and texture, the hair root needs a constant supply of oxygen and nutritional substances, which it obtains from the blood. The starved hair follicle needs to be nourished from within. The lack of proper nutrition to the hair root and follicle and unbalanced vitamin intake leads to tired hair and subsequent hair loss. Apart from lack of nutrients, Stress also causes the specified problem by the constriction of capillaries which feed the hair follicle. Stress also causes excessive perspiration attracting airborne debris and pollutants, thus clogging the hair follicles, leading to damaged/dry/frizzy hair.

I suggest you to use a herbal supplementation formulated from the best known herbs for healthy hair growth from roots. The rare herbs and active ingredients that help so are Fo-Ti, Stinging Nettle, Kelp, SawPalmetto, Silica, Rosemary, Inositol, Biotin and Horsetail. I recommend to you the following for a minimum period of 3 months for visible results leading to reversal of the present problem pertaining to your hair :

i) Segals Hair Root Formula: For cleaning the scalp and revitalizing the root of the hair for new hair growth. It makes the root free of all sebum, grime, flakes and dirt thereby strengthening the root and thus encouraging healthy hair to grow. The blood circulation in the root is considerably enhanced, laying the foundation for healthy hair growth. To be applied on the scalp every night before bed. Not sticky. Will get absorbed in the scalp on its own.

ii) Segals Advanced Hair Root Supplement: For stimulating hair-cell metabolism and strengthening the connective tissue. Active ingredients in the Supplement have a nutritional ability to not only grow back lost hair but also restore hair to its natural colour and strength. Contains rare herbs like Fo-Ti, Saw-Palmetto, Kelp, Stinging Nettle, Inositol, Biotin, Horsetail and Silica, apart from other active botanical extracts, which are proven to show healthy hair growth from the roots.

Alongwith the Formulation and Hair Supplement suggested above, you need to you use Segals Damaged Hair Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner to arrest the specified problem. Please don't use any commercial shampoos available in the market that contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate / Cocamide / Propylene Glycol / Sodium Chloride / Artificial Colouring or Pearlizing Agents. Avoid perming and blow-drying for atleast 2-3 months while using the specified products, till the effects are visible and stabilise.

These products are Professional products, created by a Qualified Pharmacist-Doctor in Canada and meant only for quality-conscious people. The fact that the products carry a 100% money-back guarantee in U.S and Canada should convince you about their effectiveness. All products are natural extracts and have no side-effects. The effectiveness of these products is backed by scientific research and clinical trials. These products are a better, safe and effective answer to various chemical formulations available in the market. There is no better, rather no other product available in the Indian market that contains the ingredients specified above and show such stupendous results. I assure you that you will regain the strength, volume, bounce, shine, length and texture of your hair back with consistent usage of these products. My hairdresser ruined my highlighted hair by bleaching it! Can I get it back to how it was?

I had gorgeous long brown hair with blonde highlights all over (like Jennifer Lopez) and in November last year I decided to get it a bit blonder, my hairdresser didn't understand want I wanted and he bleached the whole thing and then dyed it and it came out strawberry blonde/orange.. i hateeeeed it so i dyed it dark brown. The colour is fading now and in the sun my hair looks quite red and I want to go back to my old highlights.

Do you think my hair is ready to be highlighted all over? Ive been taking care of it so its super shiny and each strand is quite thick but will the highlights make it go orange again especially as I dyed it over the bleach? Will it break my hair? please help!!

My hairdresser ruined my highlighted hair by bleaching it! Can I get it back to how it was?

I think your hair can handle highlights again. Go for it!

My hairdresser ruined my highlighted hair by bleaching it! Can I get it back to how it was?

Your fine to get new highlights you waited quite awhile. I would not go back to you stylist though. Search for someone who is a color specialist.

My hairdresser ruined my highlighted hair by bleaching it! Can I get it back to how it was?

i think your hair can handel it. And if you have a good stlyist that knows what they are doing, then they will know how to tone the orange out if they highlights do not lift past a orangy color.

My hairdresser ruined my highlighted hair by bleaching it! Can I get it back to how it was?

you will have to dye it back brown and leave it a few weeks and then have a few highlights in i wouldnt do them both together as it mite dry your hair out too much and just do what you have been doin taking care of it and also get regular trims as the ends of your hair will be alot dryer thats what i had to do and it helped alot!

Hair....help?

Hi -

About 3 years ago I use to straighten and dye my hair A LOT, which damaged my hair, I did this for about 2 years. My hair was fryed, overly-processed, dry - EVRYTHING, it was horrible!!

So I dyed my hair back to my natural color and stopped straightening it - I also cut my hair to my shoulders because it was really really damaged. So theres nor eally cure for damaged hair but I tried to everything I could to make it look better - now 2yrs later my hair is BETTER but it like doesn't grow. Since my hair was so damaged my hair didn't grow a lot. And FINALLY this year it GREW like 4 inches down my shoulders because I didnt cut it for 6 months but then I got a TRIM yesterday and the lady cut like 3inches OFF - she said my hair was so DAMAGED. So now my hair is like 2 inches down my shoulders. What can I do so my hair will STOP splitting so I wont have to get a TRIM every 6 weeks? What can make it grown faster?

Hair....help?

well i dont like hairstylists cause they never listen and they like to think they know everything about hair when they dont.

what type of shampoo and conditioner do you use? if your hair gets damaged that easily i suggest going to a salon and getting shappoo and conditioner there that is for dry/damaged hair. dont buy it from the store anymore. also try doing some deep conditioning treatments once a week. (the old way is rapping your hair in a towel with conditioner in it and going to bed)

and if you want your hair to grow faster and healthier try taking vitamins(vitamins A, C, and E)

i have also heard from several people that taking prenatal vitamins can also increase hair strength and growth.

i hope i helped some.

good luck.

ps..dont let a hairstylist do whatever they feel like and dont let them boss you around

Hair....help?

Sorry hun, your in the wrong category.

Purple/blue shampoo for white hair?

Hi.

I have bleached white blonde hair (think Marilyn Monroe shade) and I love it although it does get prone to yellowness sometimes.

I use the purple Clynol ID shampoo I bought from my hair salon everytime I wash my hair and this is supposed to counteract the yellow and it does an okay job. (Its specially

formulated for platinum shades).

I also use the cool blonde conditioner by Goldwell and occasionally instead of the Goldwell I use a purple conditioner by Rusk.

Both are also specialised for my hair shade and to get rid of yellow.

I think they all do a not bad job..but as my shampoo is nearly empty I'm going to Sallys this weekend to buy a new one and I thought I might change the brand (I like using lots of different

brands untill I find one I really love!)

Any recommendations?

AND FINALLLLLLLY how often do ice-white ladies use their purple shampoo?

Purple/blue shampoo for white hair?

Use Shimmer Lights. It's in a big purple bottle. I used that when I used to be platinum blonde and loved it! I just used it whenever my hair started to get yellow and brassy. Usually about once a week, more if my hair was yellow.

http://di1.shopping.com/images/pi/62/44/...

Purple/blue shampoo for white hair?

Generic brand makes a good one and you can find it at Sally's. It works wonders and it's cheaper than the others.

Purple/blue shampoo for white hair?

sallys has shimmering lights shampoos and conditioners. they work very well. i only use them everyother day though. in between i use biotera shampoos and conditioners. you should be careful of the purple shampoos because if your hair is really pourous it can grab the purple.

ice white ladies probably use them a couple of times a week and tone in between colorings.

Purple/blue shampoo for white hair?

Ah, I actually work at Sally's. Pick up the generic we carry of the Clairol Shimmering Lights Shampoo. It's in an ugly black and white bottle with "GVP" on it. You get more for the buck and it works equally as well as the original. These types of shampoos are used one to two times a week, not everyday. Good luck!

Purple/blue shampoo for white hair?

that is the one i have always used im not white blonde but sometimes the roots go yellow and yes it does work i always go to sally`s but never looked for another product they do advice you what to use my ex daughter in law had hers white blonde and she used it twice a week if you want to cut time doing this and to make it last longer get a toner they last weeks and work the same

good luck and all the best

Purple/blue shampoo for white hair?

TO BE HONEST~ I WOULD REALLY RECCOMMEND the Purple Color Shampoo BY Paul Mitchell...it is a professional product AND they are a higher grade OVERALL, the chemicals will work better than any OVER THE COUNTER! really! lol

the bottle is not too pricey...i think like 10 or 15 bucks??

goodluck ;)

Purple/blue shampoo for white hair?

yeah, i work at sally's too and have blonde highlights. i agree with the other person, get shimmer lights for blonde and silver hair. and i second the opinion on the generic version of it--it is cheaper and does work exactly the same. even my hair dresser said purple colored shampoos are best for us, and she's not lying. i noticed a difference after just one wash--my highlights looked nice and bright, but i have one strand that got really really light now .. so i'm advising that you don't use it too often. a couple times a week should be good. :] i sold it to a bunch of customers and they love it, too, haha.

Purple/blue shampoo for white hair?

Aveda Blue Malva shampoo %26amp; conditioner is great. I have highlights and it totally takes out any brassiness. Lovely smell too. I use it every 3 washes.

There are a number of products on the market to help prevent hair loss. You should check look for natural methods before you turn to prescription. Lemon juice, egg whites and olive oil help replenish moisture in the scalp and prevent hair loss from progressing.

If you are looking for prescription methods, there are a number of websites out there to help with that:

Sleek hair like just out of hairdresser?

I have fine straight layered shoulderlength hair. When I go to hairdresser they blowwave it striaght and put some serum init. You can see the streaks and it looks great.I cant blowwave like they do,so I comb it straight as I am drying it until it is completely dry. Then I use jumbo rollers in large sections for 10 minutes .When I take them out my hair looks good but it looks dry and you cant see the streaks.I use serum, good conditioners etc but unless I use a straightener its frizzy looking.I dont want to use a straightener every day Help Nancy

Sleek hair like just out of hairdresser?

There is actual straightening hair products, like "Control Freak" by Bedhead which may help you.

I find that the straightening gel and "Extra extra Straight" Foam (green, metallic canister) from this line are superb for straight and sleek hair.

Sleek hair like just out of hairdresser?

Try blow-drying cold. It makes your hair shinny and feels great out of a hot shower. Also, next time your at the hair dresser, ask them what they're using! It's their job to tell you and they will probably be able to sell you some or tell you where to find it. Good Luck!

Sleek hair like just out of hairdresser?

Biosilk is the best product for sleek hair. It is the serum most used in the salons.

Also, try Matrix Sleek Look Products.

Sleek hair like just out of hairdresser?

Well first off, using a straightener everyday isn't a problem if you are using the correct protective products. Sleek.look flat iron spray blocks up to 400F. I use this along with there extreme straightening cream. I would ask your stylist what products she/he is using on your hair, as they may be using something for definition to help bring out the layers like a pomade or wax etc.. I flat iron my hair just about everyday, and have about the same look as what you are talking about, and my hair is very healthy, as i use all professional products which make the biggest difference ever. Stylists also if you notice section hair to do everything from blow it dry to flat iron or even curling, that way every hair is getting taken care of. Good luck!

Sleek hair like just out of hairdresser?

Something that is really important that we use at salons that most people don't have at home is a really good blowdryer that is ionic and ceramic (and if you can one that is tourmaline also, even better!) People don't realize that a good blowdryer makes ALL the difference. Also, use a ceramic/ionic brush while you're drying.

You say you're using good products, so I assume you mean professional products, but if not, you should be. These are some products I use when I want a REALLY sleek, straight blowdry:

Matrix Sleek.Look shampoo %26amp; conditioner: http://www.matrix.com/products/sleek_loo...

Sexy Hair Power Straight Balm: http://www.folica.com/cgi-bin/page.cgi?p...

L'Anza Color Preserving Trauma Treatment: http://www.lanza.com/products/display_pr... (for color clients)

Also, here is a dryer that is ceramic, ionic, and tourmaline that you can by at a Sally's Beauty Supply: http://www.sallybeauty.com/Ion+Condition...

Good Luck!

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

So, I am naturally very blonde, and I have never put any highlights, color, or anything whatsoever in my hair. But, I'm 15 so my hair has gotten darker, as I've gotten older. Its just this dark blonde, dull color, and I'm tired of it. So, I want to either go blonder, or dark brown. But, I'm afraid that if I go dark, it just wont turn out right. I can't afford to have the salon do it, so what hair products out of the box would you reccomend? I would like someone to answer, who has colored their hair like this before. I'm really nervous to do it, but I eventually will, so I would like to be as educated as possible.

decide if your skin tone is cool, warm, or neutral and choose your hair color accordingly. some brands will tell you if the color is suitable for your skin tone.

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

Think VERY carefully about this. I'm a natural blonde and I dyed my hair black 4 years ago and now I'm stuck with it. You'd have to go to a salon over several visits and have your hair stripped, which will kill your hair and your wallet. Not to mention keeping up with your roots is a major pain in the butt. I really don't think it's worth it. I would recommend just putting some highlights or accents of some kind in your hair if you want to change it up. Good luck!

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

as a stylist, i would recomend you not going darker. sounds to me like you are a nice hair color and alll you need are some highlights to give it that sun kissed look :-)

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

Don't i like blond, they r sexy hair colour

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

Ohh crap :( i just went to go ask my mom because shes a hairdresser, but she's sleeping sorry !

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

Dye it blonde again because if you dye it dark brown the blonde regrowth will make it look really horrible.

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

Just do it.

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

I have hair just like yours. I am also naturally blonde, but it get's dull if I don't put some sort of product in it. I wouldn't go darker! It's so rare to be a natural blonde and it might never get back to its natural shade! What i did was I bought a bottle of sun-in and i blow-dried it into my hair a few times a week to give me some highlights. Then i used a natural, ammonia free hair-dye called Natural Match. It was only five dollars, and it works great to enhance your natural color.

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

I am a natural blonde also, and my hair got darker as I got older, espically after I had kids. So, when I was pregnant with my last daughter I had it cut short and spikey in the back and I color it burgandy...I LOVE it and it only takes a few minutes to fix...But I really like the color after being blonde for so many years...

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

my hair went that dull blonde colour and i dyed it dark red with subtle purple streaks in it... it looks amazing!!! im sooo glad i got it done!!! :) done worry about how it will look im sure it will be great ;)

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

well, blondes are boring, thay all try to act like "barbies" if you will.(no offense)

but girls w/ dark hair tend to be much cuter, no matter what your facial features are.

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

I wouldn't go more than a couple shades darker than you are naturally, especially if you are going to do it yourself. The problem comes when it starts to grow out and you have to keep it up or you decide to go back to blonde and then you need a pro to strip out the color and correct you, which costs a fortune.

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

I've been a Cosmetologist for almost 10 years. Whatever you do dont go drastically darker you will regret it, it will be shocking, then you will HAVE to get color correction and it costs a GRIP of money to correct something like that. Im not sure about products in the store the names exactly but i know you should go darker step by step read the back of the box. Im use to professional products. But anyways, if you want low lights or high lights use the one in the box at the store that comes with that little comb, Im sure you've seen the commercials on tv. blond highlights would be good or low lights. which is a shade darker than what you have now or maybe two shades at the most, but its intwined with your natural color, so it wont be shocking. k :)

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

if you have light eyes (blue grey or green) and light skin (peaches and cream)

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

I dont know much about hair dying but I think u would look great with brown hair. Dont make it 2 dark though. I would look up on google stuff about hair products and dying hair. Im only 13 so I dont know how people at ur school would act. It may seem like it looks wierd at first but u will probobly get used 2 it.

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

get hightlights to start with. and since its your first time, go to a professional.

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

Do you have a Sally's Beauty supply store nearby? They are great and will assist you in the correct products for you to buy. Or, you could just buy a wig, at a wig store and wear it for a while and see if you like yourself in dark hair before you commit to dying it, You can get a half way decent wig for $20.00. I did that once. I sometimes wear my wig when I want to have dark brown hair. The thing about dying your hair of course is the roots, they pop out every 3-4 weeks and you need to do it again, after a while it does start to take a tole on your hait. I used color gels myself, but I did get tired of the maintenance. Try a wig first if you got 20-30 bucks,

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

I hear you, but if you want to liven up your color I suggest something like Natural Instincts (a semi-permanent color) within a shade or two of your natural color. Gold colors will brighten it up, ash colors will soften it. It really will make a difference.

I agree with the other posters--I think you will be sorry if you try to darken it much. If it turns out bad, it could easily cost you $100 to fix it, and even then, it will need to grow out to get back to your healthy/natural hair.

Try a subtle, wash-out color fix first before you go for any big change.

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

One of the most popular natural colors is henna from West Asia and Africa. Henna not only adds beautiful brownish red color to your hair but is also a good natural conditioner. Color you get after using henna depends on your initial color and on how long you kept it on your hair. The best thing about using henna is that it is a natural color, which never damages your hair.

Hope, it will b help ful

Im thinking about dying my hair from blonde to very dark???

I've colored my hair many times. black, blonde, dark brown, blue, you name it! if you have really light skin, id recommend going lighter, to a lighter blonde. if you have tan-ish skin, go darker like brown. not dark brown though, maybe a light brown. it will look different than your blonde now, because it will all be one new color. bc if u dont like the darkness of it, it will be hard to get back to light! oh and where to find products.... go to any local small stores, like a CVS or rite-aid, or target, walmart.

Question about hair dyes.?

I bought hair dye, the cheapish kind ($3.99), two weeks ago and used it on my hair to dye it from reddish brown to normal brown. It worked. Yesterday, I bought the same brand of dye, but a lighter blondish color to lighten the hair again. It did absolutely NOTHING to my hair, it's still the exact same color. If the brand worked before, shouldn't it work again? I know you're supposed to go and bleach your hair and all of that, but normally you should be able to lighten your hair at least a little bit, I have before. So, what's a cheaper brand of hair dye that I could use to get my hair to a light brown, without having to bleach it?

And do they make temporary blonde hair dye? Because that would just be wonderful.

Question about hair dyes.?

You are probably over processing your hair. You are not supposed to color it so often. Give it a while and try again, because it's probably gonna turn red!

Question about hair dyes.?

hey................ hair coloring products a good in the below mentioned website.............i.think this may help uuuuuuuuu

Question about hair dyes.?

if you want to lighten your hair, you should get a color a little lighter than what you want (like a dark blonde, if you want light brown). if you're dying over brown hair, it won't actually turn out blonde. and i wouldn't recommend cheap dye to lighten, but if it turns out lighter than you want, you don't need anything expensive to tone it down.

Question about hair dyes.?

It sounds like the cheap product doesn't have any peroxide or ammonia in it, therefore it cannot change your hair color again.

And no, to get a lighter color, peroxide/bleach must be used which makes it permanent.

Should I cut my hair? Feeling old and want a change...?

cut it into the bob, it's a cool style, and not too short in case you change your mind.

Should I cut my hair? Feeling old and want a change...?

no way, just straighten it... not a big fan of the curly curles and swurve styles.. but long hair on girls rules.

They sell shampoo & cream ect.. to make hair thicker and fuller i was wondering if it will work

do these prouducts really work?if i use it can it do the oppisite or have any side effects. i am 16 and my mustache is light. i shave it and it takes forever to grow back would a product like this be the answer to my problem i was thinking of trying top brass by revolon is it a good brand this is what the box says (Top Brass Hair Thickener gives your hair the thicker look and feel your want instantly.

Top Brass Hair Thickener makes the most of what you have because it 'pumps up' each strand of hair to give a younger, livelier look. Top Brass Hair Thickener grooms invisibly, without grease, as it conditions hair and builds body.)

They sell shampoo %26amp; cream ect.. to make hair thicker and fuller i was wondering if it will work on my mustache

Your only 16... I wouldn't mess with it, because it isn't even finished growing in yet. Wait a little while.

One of my professors said something funny, she mentioned "I should just start putting mascara on my mustache and then i would look really old and hairy!"

try some light colored mascara maybe? It could possibly smudge, but it wouldn't be as extreme as "hair thickener". It's worth a try anyway, right?

They sell shampoo %26amp; cream ect.. to make hair thicker and fuller i was wondering if it will work on my mustache

axle will work

My hair is very thick & curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of

I am not african american, however my hair is very similar to african american hair! (I am East Indian)... I want to keep my hair healthy and I know that chemically relaxing it will be damaging... however I do not have another choice! Even when I straighten it with a very good straightener that cost me about 100 bucks, I can not leave it down I always have to put it up in a ponytail because of the thickness and poofyness. Wearing it natural is a disaster. I have relaxed my hair once before but ever since then I have been experiencing hair loss. However the relaxer did help my hair and made the curls exactly how I wanted them. Basically I want to know if I should relax my hair or not?!

My hair is very thick %26amp; curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of relaxing it.?

Relaxing it by a professional might be a good idea

My hair is very thick %26amp; curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of relaxing it.?

well i would say have a wa.nk, but im a boy, that would relax ur hair

My hair is very thick %26amp; curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of relaxing it.?

Yes, you can try a mild relaxer to do just that...relax your hair. It will also make it less thick and frizzy. It will work well, however be sure to go to a professional hair stylist and keep your hair moisturized. I know of Jewish women who have gotten relaxers for the same reason.

My hair is very thick %26amp; curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of relaxing it.?

Are maybe , just an idea lady , those hi lights and a flat Eirena would have you a taste dish , needing a tall drink,.

My hair is very thick %26amp; curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of relaxing it.?

DONT USE A RELAXER.....I am african american with very long hair and the best way to straighten it is with a pressing comb it should on cost you about 60 dollars to buy one also if you just want your curls to release a liittle try putting pressing oil on it and then blow drying it

My hair is very thick %26amp; curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of relaxing it.?

i think you should go to a salon and have your hair straighten.... try Japanese Straight Perm...it makes your hair nice and straight...if you think your hair is dry...i sugguest hot oil treatment once at the salon, and do home treatment regularly

My hair is very thick %26amp; curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of relaxing it.?

I think you should make sure you get a kiddie perm, but make sure you take care of it. you know wash it every to weeks and get another kiddie perm every six weeks. I say this because I know. I had the same problem now my hair is longer, softer, tand a little thinner than what it used to be. Oh yeah no offense but that's very offensive when you say that you are not african- american but..... I am africa- american

My hair is very thick %26amp; curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of relaxing it.?

,op-ti smooth my sister does hair she says it's the best but you have to do that at a hair salon and its very expensive my daughter has it done about every 6 weeks good luck

My hair is very thick %26amp; curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of relaxing it.?

What curls hair in a permanent wave is the roller.

The solution changes the hair. If your not african american and want it straight that works. Actually works on anyone.

Comb perm solution thru your hair. Some put it on huge rollers

that straightens it. When it is done 20 min

Use the neutralizer the same way. give it an oil treatment after wards hot oil puts the oils back. There is thinning scissors you can buy that thins the hair. Makes it any thickness you want

I am a licensed cosmetologist it works.

Some people it works great on. Thought it did on everyone but unfortunately doesn't work on everyone. Depends on how curly your hair is. On anyone it changes it a lot

My hair is very thick %26amp; curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of relaxing it.?

u can do a relaxer but my hair used to be like that and i got a relaxer and it broke all off *tear*tear* so jus like wash you hair and keep the conditioner in for like 3 extra min wash it out and let it air dry brush it out with some grease and wrap i still have that type of hair(jus not as long) and it works perfectly for me

My hair is very thick %26amp; curly what should I do to make the curls not so tight? I am thinking of relaxing it.?

Relax it....but if you live in a town where you can find a dominican hair salon try to let them help my sister has your exact hair type and she goes to a domican salon, these girls know hair they get her hair asian straight with just a deep conditioner then they wrap a plastic cap on it and stick her under the dryer then they rinse it out after about 20 min and put really big curlers in her hai and put her under the dryer for 45 min then they blow dry it straight and it last her a week...good luck

I don't know. go to the hair dresser and ask them.

Pantene and hair loss?

I found all the other Q %26amp; A's not satisfactory.

Pantene will cause hair loss depending on your hair type. I'm of Asian descent and I have fine to oily hair. Recently (summer time), I been experiencing DRAMATIC hair loss (20+ strands of hair after every time I touch my hair.) I went to the doctors, she did blood tests which included thyroid... ADCE?? (Which is a chemical in men's body causing male pattern baldness.. and etc.. I'm fine but on my way out my dr mentioned it to another dr (who happens to be Indian) and she said her daughter experienced bad hair loss using Pantene. So I've switched to a basic shampoo and eliminated the excess protein caused by Pantene. My hair hasn't fallen like it was. Thank goodness.

In case, here are some things you may do to help your hair if it's thinning:

1. Nioxin Shampoo/ Conditioner--Scalp Therapy: use it to wash and condition. u can only find this at nice drug stores... like ones on 5th ave in NYC.

2. Jalco- K pack 1ce mon. it reconstructs

Pantene and hair loss?

I heard from a professional that Panteen is so horrible for your hair. It puts a nasty wax coating on the hair shaft. Gross.

Pantene and hair loss?

yea pantene sucks but they have good styling products though but i woulnt use pantene is somone paide me too... well yea i would lol but i had the kind for women of color and it suckd

Pantene and hair loss?

I tried using Pantene a few times and I noticed my hair getting

thinner. And I also saw my hair was feeling greasy and I

developed some little tiny pimples in my hairline. I stopped

using it and went to tar shampoos and finally found one I have

to water down so that it's not so strong that it too makes my

hair greasy and the little bumps come back. I've got a Neutr-

gena shampoo I'm going to try next and see if it's any good.

I've used it on our two small dogs and now it's my turn LOL.

Pantene and hair loss?

I am totally Irish and that stuff made my hair fall out. Other people I know use it and told me I was full of it and it works fine. Glad I am not the ONLY one that had this happen!!!

What is the best wax for hair?

I heard zac uses wax in his hair and also straightens it 0_o how does a guy straighten his hair?! do you need a special straightener or w,e -_- my sis got one and i tried it LMAO but my bangs ended up being straight and going downwards. But yeah i want my hair to go sideways like this

http://www.efronfreak.com/wp-content/upl...

i tried that garnier fructis surf hair wax, and their gum thingy for the hair. Any other recommendations for wax? I tried doing my hair like that with gell but it just doesnt work out lol

What is the best wax for hair?

thats simple man, my hair is often like that, well, first of all, it depends on how your hair is like, not the condition, but how it looks right now, i would suggest you take that picture to a fashion salon, thats what I do..and its only around $20~$40, usually they'll cut your hair for you (in fashion), and then they'll show you how to maintain, put in shape...etc. There will usually be some products in the store that you can check out, I cant really say anything about the price or anything, bcuz normally the products there are much more expensive, BUT you wont be able to get those stuff anywhere else.....so yeah...but if all you really want is some is some simple wax and try to make it like zac efron's, I'd suggest wax that is not too dry and chunky, and he definitely uses hair spray to give it that shiny, wet, glassy look.....I'd suggest "loreal" products, they're usually pretty nice....so yeah.....just ask me if you have anymore questions :) Hope this helped.

What is the best wax for hair?

Try using "Bumble and Bumble"...it works great and will give you the results you are looking for. You just have to heat up the wax with your hair dryer for about 30 seconds before using it...the product can be found at salons or spas.

Help in hair do's? Straight, layer'd hair...?

I am big time lazy with my hair. I sometimes don't even comb it. I am also very cautious with my hair, I love it. It is long, black, super shiny, fine, long layer'd. I have been told my hair is "movie star hair"... shiny and pretty. I like simple and natural... So Cali beach bum. I just got back from a hair cut... they shortened the layers dramatically, but still long.

My question or need of help in is... the stylist straightened the layers with a straightening iron... made my hair even better looking. I don't want to apply heat or products to my hair. The products I do use is a serum to protect ends... Any suggestions on how I can do my hair, learn to do my hair... without ruining it?

I need major help, I really don't do anythign to it.

Question need answers??on my hair?

if i get a spiral perm and dont like it DO I HAVE TO cut my hair offf so my natrual hair will come backk or can i just leave my hair and wait till my roots grow out to chest length, and lol please no one tell me that theyve cut there hair when they had it done just tell me if i HAve to cut it off in order to get my natrual hair back...

Question need answers??on my hair?

If you don't like it don't do anything. Spiral perm can change a bit after getting it done. I used to get them a lot when I was younger. And I noticed it would change after time from when you just get it. You can always get the length cut.

Question need answers??on my hair?

if your hair is straight and you dont like the perm when its done just have it re-straightened you dont have to cut off your hair and your hairdresser will advise you

Question need answers??on my hair?

you can either let it grow out or cut it off.

japanese straightening is chemical straightening...uses same chemicals as perming,,,but no rollers.

once ur hair as been permed it CAN NOT be reversed...i.e. u cant go and have it relaxed...it will damage ur hair too much

Question need answers??on my hair?

The only way to get over a perm is to sit out the wait or cut it off.

But if you really do not enjoy your perm, try getting a good gold plate starightner like this one:

http://www.folica.com/images/products/26...

And use it with your hair.

Gold plates are really important though, less hair damage and it is wayy more effective.

Question need answers??on my hair?

Why don't you just get a professional hair stylist to curl your hair in spirals, then wait a few days and see if you like it. Perms are a commitment. When I got my first spiral perm, I hated it. But I just allowed my hair to grow back naturally...granted it didn't look so hot for a few weeks...thank goodness for straighteners.

Question need answers??on my hair?

just leave it as it is...wash ur hair everydae for your own hair to grow...

Hair or the Lack of it?

A girl is at the hairdresser's chatting to her stylist, 'My boyfriend has terrible dandruff' she says. 'Is there anything you can suggest?' The stylist replies, 'Why don't you give him Head %26amp; Shoulders?' The girl thinks for a moment and says, 'So how do you give shoulders?'

It's such a shame to ruin such beautiful blonde hair by dying the roots black.

What is the only true cure for dandruff? Baldness.

Woman will never be equal to men until they can walk down the street bald and still think they're gorgeous.

She waxed the hair off her legs, she waxed the hair off her armpits, she waxed the hair off her bikini line. But when she tried to wax the hair out of her nostrils she asphyxiated herself.

My hair was awesome and now its not HELP!!!?

I dyed my hair red (Not like bright wicked red i mean like natural hair color red)with that temporary stuff that washes out in one week because i hate my natural hair color its extreamly dark blonde but my red coloring is finnaly gone so i asked my mom if i could dyed it red again except permanent but she said "i think your natural hair color is beautiful the way it is, and its much more beautiful then the red hair is" but i know for a fact that if my natural hair color was red and i wanted to dye it dark blonde she would say that the red was prettier then the blonde so i need to find a way to persuade my mom the tell her the good things about getting my hair dyed so i need some ideas.... please answer!!!!

My hair was awesome and now its not HELP!!!?

Many women are dying to be blonde. I think you are blessed! The blonde could be brightened with a lemon shampoo and a glossy, shiny hairspray.

My hair was awesome and now its not HELP!!!?

Just approach her and tell her "It's my hair, I think I should be able to do what I'd like with it and I'm willing to pay for it myself" [if you're willing to pay for it yourself anyway]

My hair was awesome and now its not HELP!!!?

CAn my hair grow?? If I..?

Ok. The longest hair I've ever had was at least 3 inches which is head hair. It took me like 5-7 months to get at least 3 inches of hair. My hair is really really coarse and it isn't meant for long hair. Because it frizzes up really badly. So my hair is a mess. I don't know if my hair grows or not. But when my hair is cut, it grows back to normal state in like 1-2 months. I trim it now and then, but I'm wondering.. Is it possible for my hair to grow at least 6-7 inches? I want long hair and if it is possible then how long will it take to grow that much? I'm only 13 years old by the way. And I want hair at least 6-7 inches. I'm wondering if that's possible? And if I can get that. Then should I trim my hair regularly(every week?)

CAn my hair grow?? If I..?

On an average, hair grows at the rate of 6 inches annually. A slow process, but there are just no instant solutions. To Know more about your hair http://tipsfromruby-hairgrow.blogspot.co... will help you.

yeah u should trim it

jus wonderin ru skater or do u want it like that jus b cuz

do u want ur hair as long as ur avatar or longer

if it gets frizzy straighten it little bit of guys i know do that im 13 as well

CAn my hair grow?? If I..?

your hair will grow, it just may take longer than others. don't trim your hair every week, you'll be cutting off all your new growth! get it trimmed every 4 weeks for optimal growth. all hair grows, just at different speeds!

CAn my hair grow?? If I..?

As long as you let it grow and don't trim it, it will get longer. The "root" of your hair has no clue if the tip of your hair is gone. It grows at the same rate.

CAn my hair grow?? If I..?

if you trim your hair just a LITTLE once every 2 weeks it can make it grow faster.6-7 inches? that might take a little while, but it will grow to that in time.

Hair Dye??????

i have really really really dark dark dark brown hair (almost black, but its not) and i had orangy highlights (it looked good though) and i dyed my hair bright auburn blonde (it was red) and it came out really good except it came out really nice one my highlights and my roots. and i wanna re-dye it cuz alot of my hair is still brown. i dye it on saturday. how long should i wait till i dye it again? it recamends 4-6 weeks but i was wondering if i could do it in like 2 or 3 weeks, and if i did what would happen? but its not like i dont like it it looks real nice but its still part brown in the back and red on like the out sides of my hair. so when can i re-dye my hair?

and how much does it cost to have someone at a salon dye it for you (if you bring in the hair dye)?

Hair Dye??????

I would wait two weeks, if youre just dyeing to fix a problem, and condition and moisturize your hair a lot before you do. Salon dyed can cost up to a hundred dollars, but you cant bring in dye, and even if you could, you'd still be paying out of your nose for the labor, not the actual product. I say you should check the boxes and see if the dye is natural. If so, you don't have to wait at all. And it should say it on the box whether it's organic.

Hair Dye??????

I have brn hair with auburn highlights and I lighten my hair. I wouldn't recommend doing it before the 4 week period. You could possible burn your scalp and not realize it, also, the chemicals in the dye's remove the natural oils/protectants from the scalp.

I would wait at least 5 weeks if I were you, just to be on the safe side. And even then, just do a wash in lightner.

Hair Dye??????

i think that it would cost about 5 to 10 pounds, but i'm not sure i think you should wait a week because in tat week u should wash it at least 4 times/ 5 in the week therefore it will clear out a bit good luck.x

Hair Dye??????

Well if you did in 2 or 3 weeks, it will still work, although the results will be better if you wait around 5 weeks. except, if you continue do it too soon, in the end [ when you get old ] theres more of a chance of your hair falling out. so just be careful. if you want your hair dyed but you don't buy the dye, it'll cost around $60-70. However, if you bring your own, it will cost from 30-40 dollars. i have much experience with this.. hope i helped! =]

Hair Dye??????

The 4-6 week reccomendation is there to protect your hair. Over processing your hair leads to breakage and damage. From my own experiance, I started out with highlights... went all the way blonde and then tried to go back to my natural brown. I damaged my hair so badly that I had to cut it all off. My hair was to the middle of my back and I had to cut it really close to my head. Any chemical process that you do to your hair strips your hair and scalp of it's natrual oils. Now I don't dye or lighten my hair at all lol. Good luck. I suggest getting with a good stylist and following their reccomendations. Also Sally Beauty Supply has an excellent deep conditioner that comes in a single package for around $2. I would definitely reccommend using this product, as you may have noticed your hair is probably getting really dry.

Hair Care...Should I Cut It?

Ok....I have been wearing my hair in the same hairstyle for 8 months. I bleached my hair in January and i didn't take care of it. I did the worst thing someone could do to bleached hair....PERM IT AFTERWARDS. I have been wearing cornrows for the past eight months. Now that I am going to college, I am entering a field where I would like to look more professional and I think that is only possiblie if I cut my hair so I can promote healthy hair growth. This isn't the first time I cut my hair though. I cut my hair in August 2005 and took really good care of it and what do you know my hair is flowing past my shoulder. I don't plan on applying a lot of heat to my hair I will plan on relaxing the hair that hasn't been permed since January. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!!!!!

Hair Care...Should I Cut It?

Go to a reputable modern and high profile/very busy salon. They'll put you on the right track hun.

Hair Care...Should I Cut It?

ok HOLD UR HORSES!!! i suggest this: cut your hair at a stylist who is experienced enough to cut off all damaged hair. then: u may realx it but: only only if that relaxer has no ammonia or peroxide. then: always condition your hair every time u shower. to stop stripping too much vitamins off ur hair wash ur hair no more than 3 times a week. trust me this works. hey im a hairstylist.

Hair Care...Should I Cut It?

cut the fried hair off and be careful this time around

Hair Care...Should I Cut It?

I would look at some hair magazines, along with a very good stylist that you trust. Let him or her recommend a style that suits you and your lifestyle.

Hair Care...Should I Cut It?

Cut a little bit of only

Hair Care...Should I Cut It?

The best thing you can do is darken it back to your natrual colour, and use the least amount of heated styling products on it. I wouldnt go relaxing it again, because your just doing more damage. I am a colour tech. and I see this happen a lot. If you really want it to grow, your diet and vitamins are very important. What you eat effects your nails, hair, skin, etc. You should go to a good salon and let them give you a style that works best for your hair, and is going to help you get back to that healthy state where you want to be. We see this kinda stuff all the time, so youll be in good hands. Good luck

Hair Care...Should I Cut It?

I say you should just cut off the fried ends, cornrow what you have left, then put extentions in. They can look very professional, and that way, you dont have to be stuck with a style you dont really like...and you can change it up whenever you want! :o)

Hair Care...Should I Cut It?

I agree with Lady. Do not listen to Astrastarr. She isn't talking about your hair which I assume is African American

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

yesterday my friend tried to style my hair with polishing wax [for hair] and i washed my hair afterwards but it won't wash off!! so my hair is sticking out everywhere, it's sticky and it's all shiny %26amp; oily so it looks like i haven't been washing my hair for days. and the wax is attracting all the dust to my hair!!! it's DISGUSTING!!! someone please help!!!

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

dish soap will take care of that issue get some dawn out a 'greese cutter' and it will not harm your hair

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

Go to a salon. They can help you.

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

i have never heard that before oh

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

Go in the shower and WASH your hair and scrub it really good. Wash it about 6 times. It will dry out your hair, so use really good condiioner. Dont listen to that friends tips anymore. The wax is good for only some people. This should work, if not......call a salon and ask them what to do!

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

omg I'm sorry that sounds terrible...... Here .. Go to Super Cuts or Great Clips and ask to get a shampoo its like 8 $$ or 5 $$ .. They will now what to do.

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

You have to wash it like crazy and let the shampoo sit for a long time, and it takes a while, I had to wash my hair like 8 times, but it finally came out. It sucked.

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

dish soap!

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

Try a clarifying shampoo. If that doesnt work try an oil treatment. Makes no sense, I know, but oil does tend to remove oil based products.

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

Try some dawn dish detergent or any dish detergent that you have and then use conditioner.

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

Try washing ur hair with dish washing soap. Use Dawn or Palmolive or something! I've used it a couple of times on my friend's hair when her hair was really greasy and it cuts the grease really good! Wash over and over until ur hair squeaks when u ring it out. The liquid dish soap will not harm ur hair! Just make sure u condition it good when ur done washing.

If this doesn't work, I suggest u go to a salon and have them help u.

Good Luck!

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

You need to wash your hair with a little dish soap. Not dishwasher detergent...but the kind you use to hand wash your dishes. It will strip your hair....wax...oils and all. BUT be sure to condition it really well...because it will really need it after the dish soap.....this should do it!

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

try dish washing soap and let it sit on the hair for a while..... then wash it off and repeat if needed then condition. for future reference i suggest using a mousse or gel to hold n style.

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

You say it's oily? As in, natural oily I hope. I know that Baby Oil will get wax off of about anything. I would try it. Then wash Your hair thoroughly after wards. Give it a try. It can't hurt. Good Luck

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

You need a clarifying shampoo to get it out...I know matrix sells one and you can get it most likely at any salon..Shampoo, leave the shampoo in your hair about 10 min or so..You may have to do it again...Im just thinking you might have used bees wax and that takes forever to get out.

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

GET A GOOD SHAMPOO FOR OILY HAIR HAVE A LONG SHOWER AND WASH YOUR HAIR TWO THREE OR FOUR TIMES MASSAGING THE SHAMPOO IN YOUR HAIR FOR 2 OR 3 MINUTES EACH TIME... DO THIS 2 OR THREE TIMES ( MORE IF NEEDED ) I GRANTEE YOU THIS WILL FIX THE PROBLEM ; )

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

wash in hotttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt...

water!ur hair i mean.then put in in freezinggggggggggggggggg

water.do that with no hair products then use pantene pro-v,and wash in cooolllddd water!

EMERGENCY: hair wax won't come off hair?

Wht did you do that ? It sounds kind of stupid. Go to a salon and ask the professionals

Did I ruin my hair?

I have really dark hair. Like Asian black. I tried to dye my hair red and instead of tinting my hair reddish or actually dying it red, it dyed only my roots and baby hair red. And I mean Ginger red while the rest of my hair is still black as ever. I still want to get to the same red color as my roots are now. Can a salon do this? Or will they just have to dye my roots black?

Did I ruin my hair?

Go to a salon and tell them what you want done. Only they can tell you whether they can do it or not. We don't know their potential.

Did I ruin my hair?

a salon can get the color u want. they have to bleach it out first then dye it.

Did I ruin my hair?

hahahaha, sorry. you should have bleached it first to strip the colour. go to a salon to fix.

Did I ruin my hair?

i seriously did the EXACT SAME THING.

i dyed my hair black, then wanted to go lighter, so i put the bleach through all my hair, and only my one-inch regrowths went lighter (they turned out a medium-light auburn)

apparently you need a 'de-colourant' hair bleach to dye your hair lighter over permanent colour.

Hair care help please?

Prenatal vitamins or vitamins for hair and nail growth. Be sure to you have a good diet too. Also get your dead ends trimed up that can also prevent growth as well.

Hair care help please?

Hair has a certain life to it, then naturally sheds by itself. Your hair may never get as long as you would like.

______________________________________...

First off, ALL the hair on your head is dead hair-no such thing as dead ends. Second, trimming split ends , that has nothing to do with hair growth. Hair grows out from the scalp, whatever is on the ends does not effect growth. It sounds like you have very nice hair. Just because it won't grow as long as you would like does not mean it can't be pretty.

Help! I have gray hair and i'm sooo young....?

I'm freaking out, I'm only 20 years old and I have gray hair. I begin getting in high school. It has gotten worse the past couple years. I have been coloring my hair since i was a teenager. Luckily that helps cover it. I was just wondering, is this stress that is causing this? or could it possibly be normal? I remember I once plucked a couple I found, and then a bunch came in. So is this something I have caused? I mean I have told some people i have gray hair and they don't believe me. You only would notice if you really looked through my hair. It's embarrasing having friends play with my hair, since they will see it. What should i do? will coloring my hair always help?

Help! I have gray hair and i'm sooo young....?

My aunt actually has this and she has had to deal with it since high school so at least you havent had to deal with it for that long. She has just died her hair since she was a teen and never not kept up with keeping those roots intact. So thats all the advice i have for you, keep those roots inact.

Help! I have gray hair and i'm sooo young....?

Think of Taylor Hicks and Steve Martin. They both got gray hair really young. It's not stress, its just kinda rare. Don't sweat it. I don't think you caused it. You could keep coloring your hair, but, trust me, it won't be the end of the world if you let it show.

Help! I have gray hair and i'm sooo young....?

This can be genetic, so this may have happened to your parents, too. They won't go away, and as you age you will keep getting more. I've noticed this a lot more often in those of Asian and Filipino descent more than others. My best friend, who is not either, has already started getting gray hairs and she's 27. Her mother also grayed young.

Some people believe gray hairs are something to be proud of- denoting wisdom and such. In my family, we put a humorous spin on it but still wear them with pride. Most people won't make that big of a deal over it- so you are probably a little over-self conscious about it. If you really don't want others to see it the best thing to do is to simply color over it.

Best of luck- hope this helps.

Help! I have gray hair and i'm sooo young....?

First of all you need to calm down. This is what is making your hair turn gray! To much stress in your life. Everyone has a little flaw and if you dye your hair no one is going to notice. It will be our little secret lol : )

Help! I have gray hair and i'm sooo young....?

To check graying of hair, mix lemon juice in olive oil, beat till frothy and apply on scalp and wash off after an hour. Premature graying of hair can be postponed by using a strong decotion of black tea and a tablespoon of salt, strain and apply to the roots for 45 minutes and wash with water. Don't shampoo. Hi there, don't worry your not alone ... This is most likely to do with having excessive androgen's (male hormones) so its important to go see your doc for a blood test to clarify this first. If its pretty mild you could use herbal remedies known to lower or block androgen's:

-Saw Palmetto (trans-gender men sometimes use this, it is probably the most effective, although a possible side affect may be unwanted cellulite)

-Stinging nettle (Root, NOT LEAF, extract)

-Spearmint tea

-pumpkin seed oil

Most important thing is to get a diagnosis from your doc.

Hope it goes well. Get the correct treatment and it wont be a problem...

READ THIS PLEASE ! Side Burns ?! Arm Hair ?!?

you can wax your sideburns !! but just make sure you get it done at a salon or with someone professeional coz you dont want to hurt yourself, or mess up your skin....

you could also thread....but that esp if you have more and longer hair.....

and for your arms....shaving is the fastest n siplest option....

but again your hair grows back faster too..lol.....

I do reakon you would look hot wif ya hair like zac efrons!! Dude u will look tight!! layer ur hair!!! (go to hair dresses) ask them to help you!! Dont worry i hav thick hair i got it layed it looks cute as :)

Should I thin my hair? I want my hair to be like zac efrons?

wow ur hot..you should have kept your hair long.. i love long hair on guys sometimes. Yea just bring the pick of zach efron to the a good hair dresser and say you want it.

Should I thin my hair? I want my hair to be like zac efrons?

shoulda kept your hair long, it looks rad, but you'd have to thin it out, yeah

Should I thin my hair? I want my hair to be like zac efrons?

Hmm well, see thinning doesnt really work that way!His hair is slightly different to yours, the sides and back of your hair are about 1-2 inches shorter! I suggest you let it grow for a month then go to the hair dressers, get your fringe trimmed and your fringe thinned out, if you think the rest of your hair it may make your face larger!

But basically, he gets his hair straightened, waxed, styled with a blow dry etc every time hes in a film, going to a show etc, so you might not get it exactly!

I really like your hair at the moment (Its pretty much like my boyfriends)and it kinda looks like zac effrons now anyway! You could try and get it thinned but thinning doesnt last too long as when you next get a hair cut it would have grown out!

Hair Extensions - What Kind?

I've been considering getting hair extensions, but I'm totally clueless about the types and what would work for me.

My hair is a few inches past my shoulders, although the ends are rather damaged so I after I cut that off my hair would probably be just past my shoulders.

It's naturally straight, about average thickness.

I'd want something that could last for a couple months, and that I could still use heat tools with.

What kind of maintenance is involved, and what is the average I'd be looking at for cost? What do you think is the best type, and what should I avoid?

Hair Extensions - What Kind?

Clip ins are so much easier than others.

Real hair can be any price from like 20+ but then again you can get real cheap synthetic ones for like 10 :)

Hair Extensions - What Kind?

I just bought clip in human hair extensions about three weeks ago. I got them at Sally's Beauty Supply. The brand is Euronext, and cost 69.99. I just love them.

Hair Extensions - What Kind?

Hello Friend,

So you want to get Hair Extensions but you've heard the horror stories and you're petrified that you'll end up bald, ugly and a lot poorer when it's all over? Well, if you don't do your homework then of course this could happen. But there's a way to have beautiful hair using Hair Extensions without damaging your own hair, and in fact allowing your natural hair to grow longer and healthier in the process.

Where Do I Start?

There are many different types of Hair Extensions on the market, but for the sake of simplicity we will focus on two main types of application methods: Individual Strands and Wefts.

Individual Strand Extensions

The Individual method involves taking small amounts (maybe 20-50 strands) of extension hair (natural or synthetic, but we'll get to that later) and applying to small sections of your own hair by either weaving in, heat fusing, gluing, clamping with metal rods or using waxes and polymers. All of these methods (except for the clamping which is self explanatory) involve coating your own hair with a chemical or foreign substance.

These extensions usually only last a few months before they have to be taken out and completely re-done. The main problem with this method is taking the Hair Extensions out without damaging your own hair.

Many people who sell this method to clients will swear that there is no damage to your own hair, but one hair extension expert told me that "in 17 years of doing hair extensions we have yet to see a client who has previously had the individual method applied without damage to their own hair. Without spelling it out I will leave it to your imagination what might happen to your own hair if you melt some plastic onto it or glue or clamp something to it".

So, enough about the Individual method, what I'm writing to tell you about is the way to have gorgeous hair instantly without damage. But first, a little about hair.

Good Hair, Bad Hair - What's The Difference?

Hair comes in many qualities and apart from the method of application, the quality of your hair extension hair will determine whether or not they will look real, and how long they will last.

Bad Hair

Unless you want to look like you've got a shredded plastic bag stuck to your head avoid it at all times. Synthetic Hair is basically plastic and will NEVER look like you grew it (unless you are 12 inches tall and your name is Barbie). Synthetic hair is however, great for dreadlocks - but that's another story.

Good Hair

This hair usually grows very dark. Some of it is naturally straight, some naturally wavy.It is durable and looks good and it will last up to a year if cared for properly.

All of the Human Hair above starts off very dark then has it's color stripped back to nothing and then it is re-tinted (usually using fabric dyes not hair color) to all the shades available. So, if you use any of these qualities of hair make sure you are certain you have chosen the right color or color blend.

How Is It Applied?

O.K. You've got your hair - what now? Wefts are attached to your head by sewing them to a tiny braid (we will call it a track from now on) made out of your own hair. The track (known to hairdressers as a corn-row) runs horizontally around the back of your head. The tracks are done in the middle of your scalp underneath your hairline so you can't see them.

The crown area of your own hair covers the top track making the extensions seem invisible. The number and size of tracks matches the number and size of wefts. The wefts and tracks ideally should be made in different sizes in order to match exactly the way your hair would look if you had grown it that way yourself.

Once the tracks are done, the wefts are sewn to them and then your own crown area hair is blended with and combed over the extensions. From now on you have to think of the extensions as YOUR HAIR.

How Do I Look After Them?

You look after Hair Extensions the same as you would do long hair that you grew yourself. If you have never been able to grow your hair long before it is probably because you are killing it just as quickly as it grows. Here's a few tips:

Wash, condition and MOISTURIZE (very important) your hair every 2 - 3 days. The extensions do not receive your natural scalp oils and so need to have moisture added every wash. If you don't moisturize your hair extensions they will become brittle and break easily leading to split and ratty ends. We recommend a good moisturizer for Hair Extensions.

Treat them with respect. They will not grow back if you yank at them with a brush, burn them with the blow dryer, kill them with chemicals. Be nice to them - they cost a lot of money so make sure you get your money's worth.

Always brush out all knots before you wash your hair, swim, or sleep. Start at the bottom and work your way up slowly using a paddle brush.

Make sure you wash in between the braids to keep your scalp clean and free of bacteria.

What Happens Next?

Every 6-8 weeks (average) your own hair will have grown about 1 to 1 1/2 inches. The braids will still be intact and the wefts will still be attached to the braids. At this time you will need to return to your Extensions Artist and have the wefts removed from the braids and checked for any product build up, damage etc. The braids are then undone and redone back against your scalp and the same wefts sewn back on to the new braids. And then,You look beautiful again.

Hair Extensions F.A.Q's

How long can my extensions be?

You can have any length you want up to about 26"-30". Any natural hair over this length is about 8 - 10 years old at the ends (i.e. it took the person that long to grow it for you) and as such loses quality. Also, anything longer than this puts extra weight on your scalp which may lead to uneven pressure and damage to your own hair. The best looking hair extensions for average height women are usually around 22" or less. Our most popular length is 18" which is to your bra line.

How much are they?

How long is a piece of string?Ask questions.

Work out what kind of hair you need. Look at your budget. Remember - there is upkeep costs involved and these may range anywhere from $20 to $60 per track every 6-8 weeks. Don't pay thousands of dollars for cheap hair. Don't expect good hair for peanuts. Make sure you see the exact hair to be used first. You will pay more for better quality hair and you will pay more for hand made wefts. I believe it is best to get the best possible product and for that you will pay a premium price. But your hair will look great, it will last and you will feel terrific!

Does it hurt? Will it pull my hair out?

No, no NO!!! If it hurts get out of there! The Extensions artist should braid the tracks firmly but comfortably. The tension should be even all over your head with no points pulling or hurting. Do not put up with someone telling you it has to be really tight in order to be secure. Pulling your hair out is not the idea. You will know you have something on your head for the first day or two but after that you won't even feel that they are there.

I hope my information helps.

Good luck.

Hair Extensions - What Kind?

I would go for clip-in extensions. That's what I have. They're much cheaper than the glue-in kind, and very easy to take care of and put in your hair. Try getting a human hair kind, because that way you can use heat to style it. A synthetic hair extension would be destroyed if you used heat to style it, so definitely go with human hair. :]

Hair Extensions - What Kind?

Go with clip-ins!!!! They have great ones by a company called Venus hair...they run about $200 for 18"-20" they will last you a good 6 months to a year depending on how much heat you apply to them and product...don't get glue in or bonded extensions they are just a waste of money and can ruin your hair if you don't have someone knowledgeable do them...
