Change my hair?

When I was little I had blonde hair. Never really blonde, but dirty blonde. Over the years, my hair has grown darker. Now, I can't even tell whether I have brown hair or blonde hair. I would like to make my hair definitley brown. How could I do this? I don't want to dye my hair because it's damaging and then you have the whole root business. You can spray lemon juice on your hair and go out in the sun for more blonde hair, is there anything similar to get brown hair? Also, let's talk waves. My hair is not stick straight, but not classified as wavy. Any IDeas? Thanks!

Get low lights not high lights.Go to the store and get a kit that has a cap in it, get a darker color.Like 1 or 2 shades darker than your darkest area. Pull your hair through the cap and use the dark hair color on the hair you pulled through. I will look real natural and a lot less damage.
